April 3, 2018, Stamford, CT, National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Month: Fairfield County’s beloved food truck, Melt Mobile, is hittin’ the road again! Owners Darlene Andersen and Diana Hall are looking forward to another season of serving their popular grilled cheese creations to the masses. Proving that everyone’s favorite childhood sandwich is not just for lunch anymore, Melt Mobile continues to book their hot griddle on wheels for private events, corporate gigs, post-wedding parties, graduation celebrations, outdoor picnics, and more!
 
“Our original business model began with selling our sandwiches street side or at local parks,” recalls Darlene, “Today, the demand is for private bookings of the truck and catering services. It’s a fun food to offer guests – there really is something for everyone and the convenience of having the truck act as the kitchen and the caterer all in one is a win-win for everyone.”
 
This spring marks the arrival of a brand new truck (RIP “Marge”). Bigger, badder, stronger, and faster, “Earl” makes his roadside debut next month alongside the original Melt Mobile matriarch “Shirl”. With the addition of Earl, Melt Mobile can now accommodate up to 500 people (50 Minimum). Let Darlene and Diana create your ultimate grilled cheese favorites for your event or choose from Melt Mobile’s signature  sandwiches such as; the Pork-U-Pine layered with Tillamook cheddar, bbq pulled pork, caramelized onions, and sliced dill pickles on buttery grilled country white; the Caprese with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, fire roasted peppers, tomato, arugula and pesto aioli on kalamata olive bread; and Meatball 3 Cheese Squeeze  with Diana’s famous meatballs in marinara, fresh mozzarella, pecorino romano, parmigiano reggiano and fresh basil on Tuscan bread.  Guests will want to save room for the "Fluffernutter"  filled with caramelized bananas, marshmallow fluff, Belgian chocolate and peanut butter on crunchy Tuscan bread dusted with powdered sugar.
